Hello friends! It's time for a new Color Challenge at Splitcoaststampers! Mary is hosting this week and has chosen the combo of Real Red, Very Vanilla and Black, with a dessert option to use your favorite green. I considered going full on Christmas but decided to go floral.
I'm also joining the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge where the theme is Anything Goes, plus I used the current sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch for my card design inspiration.
I started by coloring the lovely blossom and leaves with Copic markers similar to Real Red, Shaded Spruce and Mossy Meadow. Once complete I fussy cut the image and set it aside. Next I used an A2 sized cover die to cut a panel of Ivory card and adhered to the black base.
For the horizontal panel, I happened upon a crimped strip of Desert Storm and thought it would be nice to introduce this neutral to the color palette. It was wrapped with some Linen Thread then I added a bow with the tiny sentiment tag. The sentiment is from an old PTI stamp set and I thought the elegance of the font went well with the card. The tag punch is long retired from Stampin' Up and I was happy to dig through some boxes to find it! Now it is back in "active duty" collection LOL!
The floral image was added to a die cut Ivory circle with foam tape, then adhered to the horizontal strip with more foam tape. Dots of white gel pen on the stamen and a bit of aqua shimmer to the petals and my card was finished!
Thanks so much for visiting, I appreciate it! Have a great week!
Stef

You have done a fabulous job of colouring that gorgeous bloom Stef and I love the diecut panel - a great way to use these colours for a non-Christmas card too! I have that teeny tag punch too - some things are just too useful to let go!
