With Thanks

Hello and welcome!  I have a card that I made for the Paper Players, where the lovely Joanne has given use a great sketch to play with and the Double D Leaves Challenge.

I started my card by inking up and Copic coloring a number of leaves so I could have options as I tried to fit them onto the card.

After the coloring was complete all the leaves and the sentiment were die cut.  Next a piece of teal cardstock was die cut with my favorite deckle rectangle die and added to the ivory card base with foam tape.  The piece under the leaves is supposed to look like reflections in water but I think it works quite marvelous as a trellis of sorts!  It was die cut from Early Espresso card stock and adhered directly to the teal panel.

Next the die cut leaves and sentiment were added with thin foam tape and the bit of bling came in the form of some antique gold sequins.  Pretty quick and easy!

Thanks for visiting, I always appreciate it!

This is the first of two posts today, so come on back by a bit later to see the second card if you have a chance.

Take care!

Stef

Oh Stef, You are so creative! What a clever use of the sketch this week. I love the way you divided the panel with the branches and your leaves are just perfect! Always a pleasure to eye your work in the gallery at The Paper Players and anywhere I might add. Take care!
