Butterfly Friend

Hi there!  I hope your week is going well!  Tonight I have a card to share that I made for two challenges - the sketch challenge at Fab Friday and the CAS Butterfly challenge at Paper Players.

 FF85

I know I could have made my card a bit more CAS but I saw this butterfly designer paper and just had to layer it on the card base.  When I saw the sketch, the Pedal Pusher stamp immediately came to mind for the top panel and the colors from the dsp worked perfectly.

I started by stamping an Olive Green swoosh from Work of Art at the bottom of the panel.  Next was the bike in Archival Basic Black.  A blender pen and reinkers were used to color the seats, bike frame, basket and flowers.  A white Signo Uniball pen was used to color for the handle grips and for the "chrome" bits, Encore Silver was used.

In addition to the butterflies in the dsp, I just had to add a wee butterfly to the panel that was cut from Calypso Coral card stock.  The sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes was stamped in black ink, cut out with a Word Window punch and popped up on Dimensionals.  A quarter piece of a Tea Lace Doily was adhered to the back of the panel before it was added to the card over a banner of Calypso Coral.  Easy peasy!

Thanks for looking!  As always your visit and comments are so appreciated!  I've included links above to both challenges, so do be sure to go and check them out!

Hugs,

Stef
