Welcome back! It's Monday night and time again to share my sample for this week's Color Challenge at Splitcoaststampers. This week Mary has given us the colors of Lost Lagoon, Basic Gray and Hello Honey. "Dessert" is to make it a masculine card. I'm always in need of those, so it was an easy decision to include. I've also used the sketch from this week's challenge at Pals Paper Arts.
Using a piece of designer series paper from the Moonlight paper stack, I added a collage of images from Timeless Textures and Gorgeous Grunge. In real life, there are a lot of things going on in the collage, but wow, only when I edited the photos did I think maybe it's a bit too busy!
Pretty wild, didn't I tell you?? After stamping and adding the layers, I looked for a sentiment stacked to fit in a circle and more suitable for a "guy" card. I ended up with one from the retired Hooray, It's Your Day. The dsp was adhered to a 5 3/8" x 4 1/4" panel of Lost Lagoon so it could be popped up on Dimensionals on the card base after adding the eyelets. Boy, I haven't used those in a long time (nor my Cropadile) but I've held onto them just because they are fun for the right kind of card.
Also added were some mini brads, Hello Honey twine (retired from 2015 SAB) and stars punched with the star punch included in the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. Finally, for the interior a strip of the same dsp was added to the side, and a sentiment from Perfect Pairings was added and surrounded by stars stamped in Hello Honey.
Thanks for visiting and of course I'd love to hear from you if you have a moment to leave a message! I hope you are able to join us for this week's Color Challenge at SCS. I've added a links above to both SCS and Pals Paper Arts.
Hugs,
Stef
