Hi there and welcome back! It's time for a new Color Challenge at Splitcoaststampers! Mary is hosting this week and she has chosen the yummy color combination of Rich Razzleberry, Mango Melody and Granite Gray, with a dessert option to use design series paper. I totally LOVE this color combination!
I started by stamping the floral images on white card stock with Copic friendly black ink. I was pleased that I could come up with marker mixes that are remarkably close to the SU colors. I also used colors similar to Mossy Meadow, a SU defined neutral and browns for the flower centers. After the coloring was complete, I fussy cut the images and set them aside as I created the background.
I cut a piece of Rich Razzleberry polka dot paper with a circle die and adhered it to the white card base. Next I sponged Mango Melody ink on a small panel of Bristol paper, focusing the darkest color in the upper right where I knew it would be behind the purple flowers, then fading to white at the bottom. It was splattered with plain water and a bit of Perfect Pearls mixed with water. After the splatters were dry, it was adhered to an offset panel of gray card stock, then the flowers and a scallop strip of Mango card stock were layered on top. The whole thing was then adhered to the base and the sentiment added.
Thanks for visiting, it's always so appreciated! I've added a link to SCS above and I hope you'll be able to join us for the Color Challenge this week!
