Hello again, crafty friends! I'm back late tonight with a second post, with a sweet Valentine's card for the current challenges at the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge along with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, where the theme is "Have A Heart".
I severely culled my very old and small collection of Valentine's Day stamp sets the last two years, so I was in search of something cute to send to my 4 year old great granddaughter. I went to Etsy and found two darling images by Conie Fong and chose to use this one for my card.
Okay, is she not totally adorable???? I love this happy dancing penguin, in a sweater LOL, holding a string of hearts! Easy, peasy to color with Copics (listed below) then die cut with a Stitched Circle die. A white gel pen was used to add polka dots to a couple sections of her sweater and also as highlights to the string of hearts.
For the base, a curved heart border was used to cut the red card stock, which was then adhered to the white card base. Our sweet penguin circle was mounted on top of that with a slightly smaller circle of Fun Foam, then the heat embossed sentiment strip added just below. Doodlebug heart shaped sprinkles colored with red Copic markers were also popped on the front.
Thank you so much for visiting, it's always so appreciated! Do be sure to check out both challenges with the links added above.
Have a great week!
Stef

This is the cutest thing I’ve seen all day! So precious!! ! The penguin is adorable, I love the string of hearts and the wavy heart border is perfect for this card. You’ve brought everything together just perfectly. So glad you shared this with us over at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. I hope you’ll join us again soon.

How CUTE is this card? I LOVE that image and your coloring is fantastic. I like how you added the little dots on the sweater and the way you colored the face is precious. Great design!
