A Friend Like You for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge

Hello, friends!  It's time for a new Tic Tac Toe Challenge!  The amazing Annie has created this fabulous board to spark our creative juices.

Lots of choices here for many types of cards.  I decided to get out of my comfort zone a bit and went across the bottom making a fun fold card.

I made what is commonly called a Center Cut Card.  This is one super easy fun fold and if you're interested in making it, you can Google center cut card tutorial and find lots of examples and videos, or if you are a Splitcoaststamper Fan Club member, you can access a great tutorial there.

I started with a panel of white card stock measuring 11 x 5.5", used a Fiskars trimmer to cut lines on each side of the card, the used my bone folder to score and fold the card into shape.  I cut the Melon Mambo card stock and pink striped paper to fit all panel fronts and adhered

Next a panel of white was die cut with the scallop rectangle die. I then trimmed a separate piece of white to fit inside the stitching, stamped it with the floral image and sentiment, then colored with Copic markers.  Before adhering to the scallop panel, it was lightly splattered with white gouache.  The main image was then added to the card base with foam tape.  The secondary sentiment was stamped on white and die cut with the stitched sentiment die added to the card with foam tape and then the small heart was adhered.  I didn't want to add a bunch of embellishments but it needed a little something more, so I tied a bow of Linen Thread on one side and called it good!

Thanks so much for visiting, I always appreciate it!  I hope you're continuing to stay safe and healthy!

Be sure to use the link above to check out all the beautiful creations by the other DT members and hopefully be inspired to join us this week!

Take care.

Stef
