Thanks, Gnomie for the Paper Players

Hello and welcome back!  I hope you're remaining safe and healthy.  It's time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!  This week the amazing Joanne is hosting our color challenge with some lovely colors.

I've used one of Julee's fabulous Mojo Monday sketches for my card design.

I'm also joining the current  Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge where we are to use our favorite tool.  One of my favorite tools is my die cutting machine.

I had some fun with these colors using the Chillin' Gnomes stamp set from Simon Says Stamp (ETA I originally wrote they were from MFT but realized my error after this post went live.  Sorry for any confusion!).  I love my floral images, for which these colors would have worked beautifully, but I wanted to play some more with this fun stamp set.

I began by stamping and coloring up our cute gnomie girl.  I gave her blonde hair that is almost a light version of Mango Melody hee hee.  I used a neutral brown to ground her and the flower, then die cut both it and the larger mango circles.  The sentiment was stamped on a separate scrap of white card and trimmed down.  It's actually all in one line but I cut it in two so it would fit better on the circle.

Next a panel of Pool Party card was stamped with a large floral background stamp using Versamark to keep it subtle.  Because that paper is only #80, I adhered it to a sturdy #110 base of Neenah Solar White, which I use for most of my card bases.  The horizontal strip of Navy was punched with a scallop punch, layered on the base, then topped with a vertical strip of white woodgrain paper.  The main image was added using foam tape and I was done!

Thanks for visiting, I always appreciate it so much!  Be sure to use the link to the challenge above and also check out all the DT members linked below!

How cute is this! I LOVE it, Stef! The subtle stamping on the Pool Party is perfect. My sister lived in Nome, Alaska years ago. I was always sending her Gnome things. This would have been the perfect sentiment! lol
