Hello, friends and welcome back once again! I hope you and those close to you are continuing to stay safe and healthy.
It's time for a new challenge at The Paper Players! This week the fabulous Claire is hosting our CAS challenge with a Back to School theme. Some areas are reopening their schools and others are doing online learning, so it definitely gives some creative options for cards!
For my card, I used a more traditional look with a cute set from MFT that I just adore. I also used this for my DT card for the Tic Tac Toe challenge. If interested, you can see it here.
While still trying to keep my card relatively CAS, I also wanted to use this fun frame to highlight our schoolgirl and the other elements. I stamped, Copic Colored and die cut all the images and set them aside. Next a blender brush was used to lightly ink blend some blue Distress Oxide ink on the white card base. Once complete and the ink dry, I used temporary adhesive on the frame to line up the sentiment in my Misti, removed the frame and stamped it in black pigment ink.
Next the frame was added to the base with liquid adhesive, then the books, pencils and schoolgirl were adhered with a mixture of glue and thin adhesive squares for just a little dimension. Such a fun little card, I'll probably end up sending it to my granddaughter this fall.
Thanks so much for visiting, I really appreciate it! Be sure to use the links below to visit the rest of the DT, they have some terrific cards this week. I also hope you join us at The Paper Players this week for this fun challenge!

What do we mean by Clean and Simple?
Minimal layers and embellishments
Plenty of open space, aka "white" space
Simple and uncluttered
