Hello and welcome back! It's time for a new challenge at The Paper Players and this week the fabulous Ann is hosting our Tic Tac Toe Challenge!
I'm also joining the current Fusion Challenge where I used the sketch plus my color combination was based on the inspiration photo.
And finally I'm joining the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge where this week's theme is Anything Goes.
For the Tic Tac Toe challenge I used the bottom horizontal row. I realized that I had some long retired wood sentiments, including one that said thanks and that would cover two of the three elements.
I began by stamping the lovely floral image and coloring with Copic markers in colors similar to those in the inspiration challenge. My tendency is to use a lot of contrast when coloring but this time I used very light markers, then went in with darker shades of Polychromos colored pencils to add some shading. I haven't tried using colored pencils much in conjunction with Copics and I loved how it worked out.
After the coloring was complete I fussy cut the image. Next I used a cover die on an A2 sized panel of white card, die cut it with a rounded rectangle die and adhered to the base. I love the subtle pattern it gives. On top of that a Pretty Posy Die cut circle was layered, cutting of the left side, then I added the fussy cut floral arrangement with foam tape, also trimming off at the card edge. Finally the wood sentiment was adhered and a bit of shimmer added to the flowers with an aqua shimmer pen.
Thanks so much for visiting, I really appreciate it! Be sure to check out all the wonderful DT creations linked below and head over to the Player's blog and join us this week!
