In My Heart for Sunday Stamps

Hello friends, how are you?  I hope you are continuing to remain safe and healthy.  It's time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The lovely Claire has brought us a really great sketch for this challenge and I look forward to seeing what you create with it!

For my card I used some products that I got this spring but really haven't used too often and thought they would work perfectly with this sketch.

I began by stamping the floral image and sentiment with brown ink, then set about coloring the flowers and leaves with Copic markers.  When complete, the panel was die cut and set aside.  I think there are matching dies to this stamp set but since I don't have them, the sentiment was fussy cut.

Next a piece of the lovely patterned paper with delicate butterflies was die cut with a slightly larger rounded rectangle die, then adhered directly to the white card base.  While I used to be so matchy-matchy about white with white and ivory with ivory, I found I liked the subtle contrast of the ivory background in the paper against the white card base.  Next the green horizontal piece, also from the patterned paper collection, was layered on then the main image and sentiment adhered with foam tape.  Finally I added a few clear sequins.

Thanks for visiting, I always appreciate it so much!  Be sure to use the link above to check out the beautiful creations by the other DT members and hopefully join us for our sketch challenge!
