Spring Fields

Happy Sunday, and welcome back!  Today I'm sharing a card made with the current sketch challenge at Pals Paper Arts, and using the colors from the current challenge over at Create with Connie and Mary.  I've included links to the sites, so be sure to visit and enjoy all the beautiful inspiration!

Two of my favorite items available during Sale-A-Bration this year are the stamp set Flowering Fields and the matching designer series paper, Wildflower Fields.  Each one is separately available free with a purchase of $50.00 or more.  One of the things I like about the stamp set is that each of the six wild flower images are a separate stamp, so you have the opportunity to build a wide variety of "scenes".

I decided to flip the sketch 90 degrees for this scene.  I started out by stamping the floral images on a small Shimmery White panel using Archival Basic Black ink, which is wonderful for coloring with reinkers.  Using a Blender Pen, I gently colored the flowers with the challenge colors, going over the leaves in the middle image a second time to give some contrast to those on either side.  After that was done, the corner was punched with the Curvy Corner Trio punch and adhered to a slightly larger piece of Pear Pizzazz card stock.

Before attaching the piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock, it was embossed with the Fluttering Textured Impression Embossing Folder.  The circle element of the sketch was created with the 1 3/4" Scallop Circle, 1 3/8" Circle and 1 1/4" Scallop Circle punches.  The sentiment, stamped in Blackberry Bliss, is from the Circle of Spring stamp set (available in the annual catalogue).  Pearls and sequins finished things off.

Thanks for your visit today!  I hope you have a great week ahead!

Hugs,

Stef
