A quick post tonight with my card for this week's Color Challenge at Splitcoaststampers (SCS 565) This week Barbara has chosen perfect colors for Valentine's Day - Real Red, Whisper White and Basic Black. "Dessert" is to add ribbon. I used an older sketch from the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge (SSSC258).
I decided to go all in on making a Valentine. I pulled out designer series paper with lots of hearts, then layered an amazing Red Foil heart cut with the Bloomin' Hearts thinlit on top.
The sentiment and banner were stamped on Whisper White and cut out by hand, then popped up across the heart. I added little white heart sequins and some beautiful White Organza ribbon to finish it off. While it has several layers, it's still plenty flat for mailing.
Thanks for you taking a look, and as always I'd love to hear from you if you have a moment to leave a comment! Be sure to use the link above to SCS to check out all the great inspiration!
Hugs,
Stef
