A quick post (yes, two in one day!) with a card I made for this week's sketch at Mojo Monday. At Christmastime, my office Secret Santa gave me some sweet quote cards and I used a couple of them to make a card.
Taking a cue from the colors in the quote cards, I started with an Early Espresso card base. The next layer is a slightly smaller piece of Textured Whisper White card stock, where I then adhered the round quote card, with the patterned side up. A panel of Marina Mist card stock was embossed with the Spring Flower Textured Impression Embossing Folder, then a bit of sparkle was added with Clear Wink of Stella and added to the card. Rather than a banner at the top, I added a bow tied with So Saffron ribbon.
The sentiment, a quote from one of my favorite writers, Kahil Gibran, didn't need much embellishment, so I just added rhinestones to the flowers already on the card.
