You're Amazing

Happy Saturday!  It is a gloriously beautiful day here in Sherwood, Oregon, sun shining, birds flocking to our bird feeders, frogs happily croaking.  My husband and I tried to visit the local Wildlife Reserve for a walk around the paths, but the parking lot was full!! Oregonians on the western side of the state tend to feel sun-deprived in winter due to our normally damp and rainy weather, so when a warmer than normal sunny day occurs, everyone jumps at the chance to celebrate out of doors.

I have a card to share with you today that I made for the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.  Here's the sketch:

The shapes I chose were pennants and I used those cute Soda Pop Tops to decorate them.  Take a look:

I stamped the bird and the butterfly from Elementary Elegance on Whisper White card stock and popped them in side.  The flower was punched from Calypso Coral with the flower punch from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack and topped with a pearl.

The sentiment is from Small Phrases (Verve) and accompanied by an In Color Brad. Island Indigo is such an intense color but I truly love it.  Adding Calypso Coral really makes this a perfect card for a bright, sunny day!  My niece will like this for her birthday this spring as she always likes bright colors.

I'm also entering this into the Friday Mashup challenge (http://www.fridaymashup.com/).  They are celebrating their 100th challenge and if you participate you can pick any of the prior challenges for your entry.  I chose Challenge #84, which is to use dry embossing on your card.  I've been a weekly viewer of the blog but never played along until this challenge.

Thank you so much for looking!  If you have a chance, please leave a comment-I'd love to hear from you!

Hugs,

Stef
