A Paisley Birthday

Hello again!  Hope you are enjoying your St. Patrick's Day.  My husband and I will be celebrating at dinner with some traditional food associated with the holiday, but no green beer for us today!

My card is for a co-worker's birthday tomorrow.  It's being submitted for this week's challenge at Seize the Birthday, which is to use the sketch below to make a masculine card birthday card.

I haven't used much of the Print Poetry designer paper that is in Stampin' Up's spring catalogue, so I decided to use the Midnight Muse paisley print for this card.  Both the color and paisley design shouted "male card" to me!

I started with a Summer Starfruit card base, then adhered the paisley dp along with a strip of Midnight Muse embossed with the Chevron folder.  I stamped the label from Memorable Moments, cut it out and popped it up on Midnight Muse that was cut out with a Labels Collection framelit.

A 3/4" circle punch popped out the numbers, which were then mounted on that cute, cute, cute Petite Curly Label punch.  I hadn't used it until making this card and think the size is just adorable.  The "rd" was punched out with the Tiny Tag punch, with the narrow end snipped off.

Brads in two corners and some hemp twine were the finishing touches for this card.  Keeping it simple for a masculine look.

Thank you looking and I hope you'll take a moment to leave me a comment.  I enjoy hearing from you!

Hugs,

Stef

GREAT male card, Stef! Just loaded my card up at STB, and saw that you'd used Memorable Moments and Midnight Muse too - great minds, hey? Love what you've made. :)

Wow, awesome card Stef. I like that you used the green colour as an accent, it really pops. Thanks for joining us at Seize the Birthday!
