Extra Whip for The Paper Players

Hi there friends and welcome back!  I hope you continue to remain safe and healthy.  It's time for a new challenge at The Paper Players, where the lovely Anne Marie is hosting our color challenge, and she has chosen some gorgeous colors for us to play with!

For my card I used one of my few Art Impressions ladies stamps that was made just for fall.

I began by stamping these fun gals and coloring with Copic markers similar to the challenge colors, plus a warm gray to ground them and, while it's hard to see in the photos a light tan color for the background. Next I stamped the sentiment in brown pigment ink and heat set with clear embossing powder.  After using oval dies to cut out the image and sentiment. I used metallic pearlescent paint in Orange Copper around the rim of both and then set aside to dry.

For the background, a piece of peacock card was stenciled using the Wonky Dots stencil and Versamark ink.  I actually was aiming for a more subtle background but I do like the playfulness of the big dots.  When that was done the panel was adhered to a 5"x7" ivory card base, then a strip of patterned paper was added for some additional interest.  The main image and sentiment were then adhered with foam tape and some final touch was to add some blue-green crystals for the "glitter" portion of the challenge.

Thanks for visiting, I always appreciate it so much!  Be sure to use the links below to visit the other DT members and check out their beautiful creations.  I hope you'll join us for Anne Marie's color challenge this week!

I'm glad you didn't end up going with the subtle background, 'cos those bold polka dots on the Peacock coloured background are one of my favourite parts of this fabulous card! Love that you went bold with the colouring, too; awesome work!
