Lovely Friend

It's time for a new Color Challenge at Splitcoaststampers!  Pam is hosting this week and she has chosen Wisteria Wonder, Wild Wasabi and Soft Sky as colors this week, with a dessert option of pearls.  I hope you'll be able to join us for the color challenge this week!

I'm also entering my card into the current Anything Goes Wednesday Challenge at Simon Says Stamp.

I recently received the beautiful new Cosmos background stamp and thought it would work perfectly with this color combination.  I heat set the image with white embossing powder, then watercolored with Distress Inks similar to the challenge colors.  I didn't focus too much on shading accuracy except around the centers and other obvious areas.

Once the panel was dry it was layered on a panel of Green Leaf card stock, then popped up with Fun Foam on the Sea Glass card base.  The sentiment with die cut with the Lovely Words and Layering Ovals Framelits from white card stock, layered on a vellum oval then adhered to the background.  The final touch was adding the metal rimmed pearls.  I had to "dust" those off (just kidding), since it's been a long, long time since I used them.

Thanks for visiting, it's always so appreciated!  I've added a link to both challenges, so be sure to visit them and enjoy all the beautiful inspiration!

Stef
