Hello again! Today I finished up a card made for the upcoming birthday of a great nephew. I decided to use the cute Cheesecake Parade stamp from Penny Black, which is one I acquired years ago but I still love it. I colored the images with my Prismacolor pencils after stamping on a panel of Bristol card stock.
Two or three of each color were used to try to get the shading and depth of color, so the blue on the balloon and package ended up a bit darker than I intended. I used gamsol to attain better blending - I really like how well it works. Glossy accents was added to the balloon to add some shine, you can see a bit of reflection in the photos.
I used Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to add the ink blending at the top of the panel, die cut it with a Wonky Rectangle die then added it to a 100# Whisper White card base. I choose to use this card stock because it is not as bright a white as Neenah Classic Crest, and it better matches the Bristol panel. Finally, the sentiment was die cut from both 80# Whisper White and Fun Foam, layered then added to the card front.
I'm joining the current challenge at Color Throwdown, where this week's colors are Hot Pink, Yellow, Lime Green and Light Blue, which I got as close to as possible with the colored pencils. I also used brown as my neutral color. I'm also joining the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Anything Goes challenge. Gorgeous card Stef :-) I love this image, so cute, and the background and die cut sentiment are fabulous.
I have never had much luck with die cutting fun foam, but I will have to give it another go, love the dimension on this :-)
