Hello again! This is the post I intended to complete last night but never got to it. Anyway, my card tonight uses the new Ornate Background stamp from the Stamptember release from Simon Says Stamp. It is a gorgeous but very intricate design, so for this first card, I just stuck to basic coloring with my Zig Markers, not worrying about shading for shadows, etc. I only ended up using a portion of the background, cutting around the images and adding it to the bottom of my focal point.
Before adding the colorful piece of fussy cut background to the white card stock panel, I put a small amount of black Gesso on an acrylic block, squirted a tiny bit water onto it with a mister, and used a small paint brush to flick splatters onto the panel. The panel was adhered to the card base and then I worked on the sentiment. I used the new Label Love stamp set from Altenew, stamping it with Versafine Onyx Black on white card stock, heat setting with clear embossing powder, then cutting down with my paper trimmer and added it to the panel. I felt the card was busy enough with the design and splatter so I decided not to add any embellishments.
I'm entering this into Kathy R.'s The Daily Marker 30-Day Coloring Challenge. It was technically supposed to end on 9/30 but she's extended the deadline. Here's a link if you want to check it out 30-Day Color Challenge. I'm also joining the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge where "Anything Goes" this week (SSS Wed Challenge Anything Goes)
Thanks so much for visiting, I'm ever so appreciative! I hope you have a good week ahead!
Stef
