Never Quit on Your Dreams

Hi there once again!  My card today is for the color challenge at The Paper Players and this week's sketch at The Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

The large flower from Peaceful Petals was stamped in Versamark and Smoky Slate on watercolor paper, then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  Using an aquapainter, it was water colored with Crushed Curry.

The card base is Smoky Slate, which was topped with a couple of different designs from the Beau Chateau designer series paper.  I just love all these colors together; Marina Mist and Crushed Curry look particularly beautiful together, to me.  I don't used Crushed Curry often and had forgotten how bright it is.  Still it looks lovely with the other two colors.

The sentiment is from Loving Thoughts.  I decided to use it and send the card to my sister.  I'm so happy for her, as she has dreamt of moving to Central Oregon for years, and it seemed as though circumstances would never fall her way - the economy fell into a recession and there weren't any jobs to be had, then there were jobs but the pay wasn't sufficient, or the people weren't a right fit.  Finally, it's all come together (a great job, great friends and a beautiful place to live) and I give her so much credit for never giving up, never quitting, for having a dream and persevering.

Well, that's it for now, I may have another post later or perhaps tomorrow.  Take care and thanks for coming by and taking a look!

Hugs,

Stef
