I decided to add to my holiday card stash using this sketch and a cute die set that I bought and never used last year. Time to change that!
I started by putting together the Old Fashioned Rocking Horse die from Honey Bee Stamps. It has multiple little layers, but my handy reverse tweezers helped me when attaching them. The rocking horse was added to the white scallop circle, which was then matted on a gold circle before adding to the card. Here's a close up of the rocking horse:
I love all the embossed texture and the well though-out details. The patterned papers are also from Honey Bee and the sentiment is from a retired packet of pre-foiled holiday sentiments. The card ended up being A7 because it was more proportional to the rocking horse and circles.
Thanks so much for visiting! I hope you'll join us this week and show what you're inspired to make with this great sketch. In the meantime, for more ideas, head over to the challenge where my talented teammates have some great examples to share! The challenge remains open until Friday, May 2nd at 3pm EDT.
Take care!

Stef... gorgeous Christmas card! The rocking horse is adorable and unique addition... just perfect.
Well this is perfectly adorable! What a darling rocking horse!
Oh my goodness, that rocking horse is fabulous - it reminds me of a beautiful black one that lived at my preschool some 50 years ago! Love the festive pink background too. I have been lax on festive cards of late - I need to remedy that!
Stef, this card is fantastic. I know you had to spend extra time putting that amazing rocking horse together. Love the mix of patterns and that you are already working on your Christmas stash! Thanks for "Rocking" my challenge!
Stef, I love your little rocking horse and what a gorgeous patterned paper = pink at Christmas? YES PLEASE!

Wow, Stef! This adorable rocking horse has stolen the show. The pattern papers are delightful ... you can never go wrong with pink OR polka dots! It's an awesome card!
Yikes, I can't bear to be thinking Christmas cards yet! But I do love that sweet little rocking horse. I have a decoration just like it made out of felt on my tree every year. The DSP is sweet too.
Love that you made a Christmas card too! That rocking horse is just the cutest, as is that background paper! Feels good to get a start on those holiday cards, doesn't it?
