I'm also sharing over at Just Us Girls, where Bobby has chose the word green for their word week challenge.
My intention in the new year was to limit buying of crafty products but this die set was too fun to resist.
I can't grow them but I sure have fun creating them with paper! I chose three shades of lime-y cardstock along with yellows for the flowers and grays for the pot. I then ink blended each die cut to create a bit of dimension, then put everything together to create my hanging houseplant!
When my husband and I bought our current home a few years ago, we were delighted that it had nicely textured walls and that's what inspired me to emulate it with an embossing folder. I used a rectangle die to cut the white panel before embossing it. I layered it on a panel of the same yellow that was used for the flowers, then "hung" the house plant and added the sentiment, which is part of the die set. Lastly, I added a gold pearl as a "hanger".
What does this color pairing bring to mind to you? For more inspiration, head on over to the challenge (link above) where my super talented teammates and Guest Designer Michele have their lovely creations to share with you. The challenge remains open until Saturday March 29th at 9am EDT and I hope you will join us!
Thanks for visiting and take care!

Awesome hanging flowers! Thanks for joining in at JUGS
Beautiful card Stef. Love the hanging flowers. I have been eyeing that die set also. TFS
As soon as I saw your card I went looking for the die set and put it on my wish list. This is absolutely perfect, Stef. Love the variations of colors of the leaves and the background is perfect. I bet your walls look amazing too.
Love the texture and depth, Stef! Terrific card!
I can see why your good intentions to not buy any new stamps/dies this year was broken with this set Stef, and the color pairing worked perfectly for its debut! I love the different shades of green you used for the leaves and those bright yellow blooms and the card base all really POP on this card! LOVE it!! Hugs. :0)
I can quite see why you had to have this die set, it looks fab! The textured background gives just the right amount of interest without detracting from the beautiful hanging basket. :)
That set was too much fun for anyone to resist, Stef. I want it but it's been out of stock. The wall texture is great and the various shades of green add depth and dimension. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Just Us Girls.
