Hello, how are you? I hope your holiday season has not been too stressful thus far and you are or will be able to spend time with those you love. My daughter and her family are to come over on Sunday but the weather is still up in the air, so I'm holding my breath that any snow or ice hold off until Christmas Day!
Tonight I have a card to share with you that I made in part a couple of weeks ago but had to put aside to complete things like tags and gift card holders for Christmas. Finally I was able to finish it about the same time I saw the challenge at Stamp Ink Paper. Perfect timing!
Well, my card is anything but Christmas! I created watercolor background using a couple of my favorite bright Distress inks and splattered it with Shimmer spray. When it dried, it was trimmed down and covered with white card stock cut with a striped cover die.
Next the flowers and leaves were stamped on watercolor paper, watercolored with Distress Inks and die cut with companion dies, then covered with Clear Wink of Stella prior to mounting on the card front.
The sentiment from the same stamp set was heat embossed on a strip of vellum and wrapped around the panel before attaching to the card base. Finally a scattering of sequins was adhered to create additional sparkle.
