White Christmas cards

Hello again!  Tonight I have two cards to share, both made with the White Christmas stamp set in the current Holiday catalogue.  The first card uses the sketch from Pals Paper Arts.

Looking through my stash of Christmas dsp, I came across a pretty piece with white snowflakes against a Baja Breeze background and decided it would be complementary to a little snowy scene with the White Christmas stamp set.  The scene was stamped on Whisper White in Memento Tuxedo Black, with the sky and star sponged first, then a blender pen was used to color the tree and the star.  I also used a retired SU Journaling pen to extend the snowy landscape behind the bear.

I started with So Saffron on and around the star.  I deliberately left kind of a halo effect around the tree to indicate the light shining down on Madam Bear from the star.  Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy were used to sponge the sky.

A piece of retired striped grosgrain ribbon was adhered across the bottom of the image, then topped with a sentiment from Endless Wishes.  Basic Rhinestones add a big of sparkle.

My next card uses more traditional Christmas colors.  I wanted to utilize the Merry Christmas banner as my sentiment, so that dictated the scene set up.  The base is Kraft, with a strip of Under the Table dsp under the main image.

For this card, the sky was lightly sponged with a sponge dauber in Soft Sky ink.  The birds and the snowman's scarf and hat were colored in Real Red with a blender pen.  The birds were snipped out and adhered to the trees with Glue Dots. Dazzling Details Silver Sparkle was applied along the ground and around the bottom of the trees.

Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine was threaded through a Silver Basic Metal Button and then glued to a piece of Garden Green card stock cut out with a Hearts A Flutter banner framelit. Overall, a very simple card.  Both cards ended up being flat enough for mailing without additional postage.  Yippee!

Well, if you lasted through this long post, thank you!  Be sure to use the link above to visit Pal Paper Arts, plus there is a bit of time left to join in if you are able.  As always, your visit and comments are so appreciated!  I hope you have a great week ahead, including a very Happy Thanksgiving to my visitors from the US.

Hugs,

Stef
