Sweet Birthday Wishes

Hello there!  It's a hot evening here in Sherwood, as the Willamette Valley experiences unseasonably high temperatures in the high 80's and low 90's.  I am truly grateful we installed air conditioning years ago...at least I can sleep at night and function at work the next day!  Yup, I'm a total weenie when it comes to heat LOL!!

I made a summer-y type card yesterday, again using my new favorite stamp set, I Like You.  This time the images were stamped on Whisper White card stock and then colored with reinkers and a blender pen.

The colors used were mainly taken from the Sweet Sorbet dsp, although I included some Calypso Coral, and Hello Honey was used in lieu of Summer Starfruit.

The strip of Pool Party Core'dinations paper was embossed with one of the Delicate Details embossing folders, then sanded to let the lighter interior show through a bit.  The sentiment was embellished with a pearl placed atop one of the new Pistachio Pudding sequins.

I used this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch (http://kgiron.blogspot.com/) for my design inspiration.

I am also entering this in the fun 100th challenge at the SUO Challenge blog (http://suochallenges.com/). Participants get to chose from any of the previous 99 challenges to make their entry.  My card is for challenges #25 (Favorite New Stamp Set) and #77 (Happy Birthday).  Be sure to click on both links and check out the great inspiration.

Thank you so much for visiting! I hope the remainder of your week goes smoothly and brings lots of moments of happiness!

Hugs,

Stef

Sweet card - and I love how Hello Honey compliments the Summer Starfruit in the DSP! And I absolutely ADORE how you offset the oval sentiment on its oval mat layer!
(Oh, and I wouldn't/couldn't survive without my A/C. It's 8:40am right now and 97° ... in Phoenix AZ!)
