Farewell Friend

Happy Monday!  Phew, glad that day at work is under my belt!  Busy times = job security (I keep reminding myself LOL!).  Anyway, I made a card yesterday for a friend at work who retired today.  I've worked with him for 10 years and was so happy for him to be able to retire.  I used the sketch at Fab Friday for my layout.

I used one of my favorite color schemes for more masculine cards - Pacific Point, Basic Black and Whisper White.

The Postage Due stamps created the feel I was going for, which was sort of a travel theme, which one would do (or at least I plan to do) when retired.  It is a pretty simple card and went together easily.  I was pleased I had purchased the Pacific Point grosgrain ribbon, which was the only embellishment I added.

Thanks for dropping by and taking a peek!  Please leave a comment if you have a moment, I'd love to hear from you.

Hugs,

Stef

Great colors! The bold Pacific Point just pops against the black. I'm sure your co-worker really appreciated such a beautiful card to send him off to the fun of retirement! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!
