The image was then die cut with the coordinating die.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZsicDCRkXGxhmiZ3BpF8gEQIxwxIBRIoDM7Ihsjt99D1_brqqIOgYHxMJ6ZtkBAEgf4L8DJwv9DpB_3YPg1UjZy5XO09h9tsT4vL9o88MtH5ZIa1zCpDisLRLBvV4rvl9JbMgLMy76GEEC3NPhQLHld-PpY04ORg-KlE3gfdwcsJEX4ImBi97BJ7P0A/s3364/tfc89r%20cu1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3364" data-original-width="3066" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZsicDCRkXGxhmiZ3BpF8gEQIxwxIBRIoDM7Ihsjt99D1_brqqIOgYHxMJ6ZtkBAEgf4L8DJwv9DpB_3YPg1UjZy5XO09h9tsT4vL9o88MtH5ZIa1zCpDisLRLBvV4rvl9JbMgLMy76GEEC3NPhQLHld-PpY04ORg-KlE3gfdwcsJEX4ImBi97BJ7P0A/w365-h400/tfc89r%20cu1.jpg" width="365" /></a></div><div><br /></div><span style="font-family: arial;">As I looked through my cover dies, I found this trellis and despite it being A2 sized I thought it would be a great anchor for these blooms. It was die cut from kraft cardstock then sprayed with Crooked Broom Distress Mica spray. While that dried, I embossed a panel of ivory cardstock with Altenew's Masonry Wall 3D folder, then used my brayer to apply a brown ink just to the raised portion. I'm afraid the photos don't catch for embossed detail well. The die cut trellis was attached to the embossed panel, then the florals were added with foam tape. The sentiment is from a Spellbinders Betterpress set. Lastly, I added a few gems that seemed to go perfectly with the brown colors.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGnQZcb_7FCDctZFvflcyhqw6-ezUl_74mn4Bq5VrkSt2ELZ5Bqpt1f-XDFiMqFKTDuDnJPBLGtQHB9lDr3yIklOjSzKm04f1JUrWsZMilU_QryiuAAsYXQmhtNqBqxDzZOZ2nSC9LeV4evkXkz_wGAg3leXCuq5iETZF2I1MLZi-fffuw99igU3-B0Q/s3498/tfc89r%20cu2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3498" data-original-width="3008" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGnQZcb_7FCDctZFvflcyhqw6-ezUl_74mn4Bq5VrkSt2ELZ5Bqpt1f-XDFiMqFKTDuDnJPBLGtQHB9lDr3yIklOjSzKm04f1JUrWsZMilU_QryiuAAsYXQmhtNqBqxDzZOZ2nSC9LeV4evkXkz_wGAg3leXCuq5iETZF2I1MLZi-fffuw99igU3-B0Q/w344-h400/tfc89r%20cu2.jpg" width="344" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: arial;">You still have until the 25th at 5pm GMT to play along and in the meantime, be sure to visit the challenge blog as my amazingly talented teammates have oodles of inspiration to share with you!</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;">Take care!</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;">Stef</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><ul style="text-align: left;"><li>Altenew Blooming Delight BAG stamp, die and stencil set</li><li>Altenew Garden Trellis Cover Die and Masonry Wall 3D ef</li><li>Spellbinders Fancy Sentiment Strips Betterpress plate and die</li><li>Neenah Desert Storm and Hero Art Ivory cardstocks</li><li>Altenew inks - Sunray, Chamomile, Pumpkin Pie, Yellow Ochre, Jade, Eucalyptus, Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, Pink Sand, Dusty Rose, Toasted Mauve, Water Hyacinth, Alpine Aster, Crystal Violet, Rocky Shores and Obsidian Pigment ink</li><li>Crooked Broomstick Distress Mica Spray</li><li>HoneyBee Vintage Love Gem Stickers</li></ul><br /></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div>Stef Perryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17777117548984288021noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-885092930078757742.post-4159804785806907072024-03-07T14:30:00.000-07:002024-03-07T14:30:03.813-07:00Showers of Love<span style="font-family: arial;">Hello friends! In the US and Canada (I believe) extra postage is required if you mail in a square envelope, but an option is to make a 5" x 5" card like I have, which can be sent it in an A7 envelope for no additional postage.</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTDGjrtr01GVxX-6dVlQ62SLoZU2p-Es4tIhQBcA1MhQtR95OBIBgl416TaK6R7PgfXUcfa6RgNt_Kcf3UMP73phSdbPKDWS9_Q2gp_2w_gg4OTvZ8wqAwwDk6Sz2V9HIenActQYnm4z2-dmJSKX83-udiHiylJ4vG9jZqLhli5WfoQ7CaaR-rrhwfmw/s3326/tfc89.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3326" data-original-width="3066" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTDGjrtr01GVxX-6dVlQ62SLoZU2p-Es4tIhQBcA1MhQtR95OBIBgl416TaK6R7PgfXUcfa6RgNt_Kcf3UMP73phSdbPKDWS9_Q2gp_2w_gg4OTvZ8wqAwwDk6Sz2V9HIenActQYnm4z2-dmJSKX83-udiHiylJ4vG9jZqLhli5WfoQ7CaaR-rrhwfmw/w369-h400/tfc89.jpg" width="369" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: arial;">I was looking through all my floral die cuts and spied a set that hadn't seen the light of day in a long time, so I figured it was time to put it to use! These dies are large, beautiful wildflowers and it seemed a more vintage style design would work well. With that in mind, I looked through my stash of patterned paper and found this beauty with gold wildflowers printed on a faint text.</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgL4oIrSGku2ieLhlU5v-48SRj8pTYo1YGJK-avt97xW-gXQaVWrO6h_B692G7Da3c4nywig611ZEqEjFXARaxohG9P8_TYgY7px520hyphenhyphenV3a-S-NvVtIpWugQiX3gqo5fnJcnKpm4aTBeA-LXvRvCBbCbqLodsE5rCFBmgPQ02IMKdX-CjPP8E5LDQPOA/s3355/tfc89%20cu1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3355" data-original-width="3066" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgL4oIrSGku2ieLhlU5v-48SRj8pTYo1YGJK-avt97xW-gXQaVWrO6h_B692G7Da3c4nywig611ZEqEjFXARaxohG9P8_TYgY7px520hyphenhyphenV3a-S-NvVtIpWugQiX3gqo5fnJcnKpm4aTBeA-LXvRvCBbCbqLodsE5rCFBmgPQ02IMKdX-CjPP8E5LDQPOA/w365-h400/tfc89%20cu1.jpg" width="365" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: arial;">The flowers were die cut from ivory cardstock, then lightly ink blended with Altenew Blush and Rouge inks. I also lightly ink blended both colors around the edge of the patterned paper square before adhering to the ivory card base. I fiddled around with the floral arrangement and different sentiments, then settled on this design so I could use that lovely, flourished die cut sentiment in matte gold. After the wildflowers were tied together with the gold twine, they were adhered on the lower stems with glue, then I used pieces of foam tape to elevate the flowers for a little dimension. No gems needed for this card with all the beautiful metallic gold!</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLS5Fq7B2fyr-S2FYen8YYMtz0U0sY_1Z9BKvV35YqCT-C0ov04xDFNoWxS-goj9pCb36P2YUhBtsB7D2FY-QLzvQsBKQ1uKyRsajZHGZJ8AFeRQ-rHn73DlpbZ_AdFtMVkp6CUdySRHTJNfsurMeMEhDs6o2CTToZ-fWR56AcnqSCkyXd4cgv_q_dUA/s3517/tfc89%20cu2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3517" data-original-width="3066" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLS5Fq7B2fyr-S2FYen8YYMtz0U0sY_1Z9BKvV35YqCT-C0ov04xDFNoWxS-goj9pCb36P2YUhBtsB7D2FY-QLzvQsBKQ1uKyRsajZHGZJ8AFeRQ-rHn73DlpbZ_AdFtMVkp6CUdySRHTJNfsurMeMEhDs6o2CTToZ-fWR56AcnqSCkyXd4cgv_q_dUA/w349-h400/tfc89%20cu2.jpg" width="349" /></a></div><br />Thank you so much for stopping by and I encourage you to pop over to the challenge blog because, as always, my wonderful teammates have some incredibly beautiful inspiration for you! I also ink blended a white panel in pink.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfC7sb_JrKS9VhwUjB2dm8C3u-v-L_zMvJWckElZ_vueoNa_73XgcZyKZb_T9EKRtc545PitAa58j4TUf73dctYcvLtUZgDWM6WCVQWjJ-iOMHQLNHBxFJJZDS9UJRNddorT7MF-wvh72Pub8c7GwiF763FgDMNA3SsPw7BjI_op7v9A7zVkd5PD_dUQ/s3545/ctd782%20cu1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3545" data-original-width="2748" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfC7sb_JrKS9VhwUjB2dm8C3u-v-L_zMvJWckElZ_vueoNa_73XgcZyKZb_T9EKRtc545PitAa58j4TUf73dctYcvLtUZgDWM6WCVQWjJ-iOMHQLNHBxFJJZDS9UJRNddorT7MF-wvh72Pub8c7GwiF763FgDMNA3SsPw7BjI_op7v9A7zVkd5PD_dUQ/w310-h400/ctd782%20cu1.jpg" width="310" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: arial;">The background element was die cut from Stampin' Up Merry Merlot cardstock using a retired cover die from Simon Says Stamp. After adhering it to the pink inked panel, it was added to the card front. With such a busy background I needed a place for the rose to be grounded, so a scallop circle was die cut from white, layered on the card, then the rose was attached. It's a different kind of die from what I'm used to in that the bloom, bud and the leaves are all separate components, but they line up perfectly of course. After layering on the sentiment, I added a few pink gem stickers for some sparkle.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh94XHvEwooX-CykB4CR-PcBd-wqjs9GPLFlRqXVSLSXouPUsZit4Esq1kIYohQjFubwY3uaFAc3mg4zyHcdUR3Jjn5TbDQ7z7_bgWttRIwxKSg6WaDnkgDHUCX4md_3JmUwrMDNta3iHixsPBtubIQ9hQSCBN1i8fCxmtTmGQl4puJqbxITMUMDgD8oA/s3679/ctd782%20cu2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3679" data-original-width="2759" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh94XHvEwooX-CykB4CR-PcBd-wqjs9GPLFlRqXVSLSXouPUsZit4Esq1kIYohQjFubwY3uaFAc3mg4zyHcdUR3Jjn5TbDQ7z7_bgWttRIwxKSg6WaDnkgDHUCX4md_3JmUwrMDNta3iHixsPBtubIQ9hQSCBN1i8fCxmtTmGQl4puJqbxITMUMDgD8oA/w300-h400/ctd782%20cu2.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: arial;">Thanks for visiting and I hope you'll have a chance to swing by tomorrow when I post my card for the March challenge at The Flower Challenge!</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;">Take care!</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;">Stef</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><ul style="text-align: left;"><li><span style="font-family: arial;">HoneyBee Stamps Lovely Layers: Roses and Be Still stamp and die</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial;">SSS Marilyn Full Card Cover die</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial;">Hero Arts Scallop Circle Infinity die</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial;">Altenew Silver Sage, Jade and Eucalyptus inks; Concord & 9th Carnation and Sweet Pea inks; SSS Carbernet ink</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial;">HoneyBee Stamps Vintage Love Gem Stickers</span></li></ul><br /></div>Stef Perryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17777117548984288021noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-885092930078757742.post-45572932892399767682024-03-01T07:00:00.002-07:002024-03-01T07:00:00.138-07:00Framed Florals for Color Hues<div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial;">Hello friends and hello to March 1st too! It went pretty quickly so that's why I ended up making two cards.</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial;">After I created these cards, Altenew held an IG hop on 2/16 with lots of inspiration, so if you're interested you can check it out at @altenewllc.</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQLSfZLmJ8rSn7cG8poHqtkVRveOSuOdga6X288Db_0B4UkArM94Rd3p6Ka2ELiPCdc0B14YG3S2XVnkUG9VApwUz9kPjzSszVJQVHiry1S0TPkGNaO2NofB9fOlf97oRWEwzbmdy-L0zrt3lhR3zT-LwIRTWWWDOww4Jqljw50-Vwevx5siMXBaruZw/s3402/ch82.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3402" data-original-width="2873" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQLSfZLmJ8rSn7cG8poHqtkVRveOSuOdga6X288Db_0B4UkArM94Rd3p6Ka2ELiPCdc0B14YG3S2XVnkUG9VApwUz9kPjzSszVJQVHiry1S0TPkGNaO2NofB9fOlf97oRWEwzbmdy-L0zrt3lhR3zT-LwIRTWWWDOww4Jqljw50-Vwevx5siMXBaruZw/w338-h400/ch82.jpg" width="338" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: arial;">For this first card, the stenciled image is so large that I ended up creating a 5.75" x 4.5" card, which can be mailed in an A6 envelope. The technique entails adhering a stencil over the card stock, misting with water, then absorbing the activated ink through the stencil. This can be done as many times as you'd like until you're happy with the amount of ink removed. You then dry the panel thoroughly, put the stencil back in place and use a lighter color of ink through the stencil were the ink was removed. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial;">Well, as I applied Picked Raspberry DOX through the stencil, it just didn't seem vibrant enough, so then I tried the same color in regular Distress ink and it was too dark! Awwkkk! So my only alternative at that point was to apply some white glitter glitz gel through it and it did turn out beautifully.</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJKt-8osETbiFQoMAd_0pmrWYknvfigHZghITgJXRNah_JeQqR2IyzDljBA01ms1A5khUB6PeMfRZjHS5jyCgGrPTaVXnSS5j55YrvrGpa5d-Qcw-oT9_m7c0YwteUqVgxIHemJZtdLmaZHYHkL4A-9wv0uWMN6-_TuaXvpU6fgX1DPxAT-0ZoNwrj8Q/s3422/cccfeb24%20cu1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3422" data-original-width="2787" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJKt-8osETbiFQoMAd_0pmrWYknvfigHZghITgJXRNah_JeQqR2IyzDljBA01ms1A5khUB6PeMfRZjHS5jyCgGrPTaVXnSS5j55YrvrGpa5d-Qcw-oT9_m7c0YwteUqVgxIHemJZtdLmaZHYHkL4A-9wv0uWMN6-_TuaXvpU6fgX1DPxAT-0ZoNwrj8Q/w326-h400/cccfeb24%20cu1.jpg" width="326" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: arial;">After the glitz gel dried, I trimmed the panel down and added directly to a white card base. I wanted the sentiment to match the flowers, so I used my Copic markers to create an ombre on a piece of white cardstock then die cut the sentiment from that. The ombre is definitely subtle but in real life it's more evident than in the photo. The sentiment was also mounted on two additional die cut layers then added to the center of the heart. It was then layered on a slightly larger panel of the red metallic cardstock, adhered to the white card front, with the final touch of adding the red sparkly heart. I started the card with a panel of Distress Watercolor, where I sprayed some Shiny Bauble Distress Mica Spray for the background. While that dried, I cut a simple snowbank from white cardstock, used a Copic marker along the top and to create a path to the mail box then covered those areas with Stardust Stickles.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbTfOOZ3VC62UuMjLhDe_UKBJw_ZIOjWsOkxIwuZTNjkMmawjjy2dD-UyYibLrpjydUh-lklaFf0VKZKH4ga_0gO4P1PqxTiEdZnuulgtzM4YLqhxsxI6pGvRmeL_QOnzDyvs6no39qeDXe0OtbjV3ef-lrK892EvSccCCDOiMhY19C5EgvHUFJZv5_w/s3883/cccjan24%20cu1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3883" data-original-width="3066" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbTfOOZ3VC62UuMjLhDe_UKBJw_ZIOjWsOkxIwuZTNjkMmawjjy2dD-UyYibLrpjydUh-lklaFf0VKZKH4ga_0gO4P1PqxTiEdZnuulgtzM4YLqhxsxI6pGvRmeL_QOnzDyvs6no39qeDXe0OtbjV3ef-lrK892EvSccCCDOiMhY19C5EgvHUFJZv5_w/w316-h400/cccjan24%20cu1.jpg" width="316" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: arial;">Next the stamped images were colored with Copic markers. I made a mistake by coloring the bottom edge around the critters and mailbox blue, which I didn't realize until after die cutting. It just looked odd against the snowy background, so I trimmed it away and that's why the bottom of the image is fussy cut. I decided not to fussy cut the entire image because it was so detailed around the dog and after adding the image to the card, it really isn't that noticeable, at least I hope not to the recipients! The final steps were to add the sentiments and use the Stardust Stickles on the top of the mailbox. In real life, the sparkle is amazing! You can see it better in the photo below</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-BpdCNgldLkYXMQfOsWsU9ZpElVdW5-9c1xiPb8l2_npTfoYcIVo04AsL8zs571pVn9qR6eaYe4ynQec7NZVQtdr927i0k-D9BSfR_vQgIFJSV-Qp_zVKu9e9gg_Zx7m6t8a4-ZJAaUilvwVmb7CazvtGZpRrIYtvlukkbfRX7BKFCOagTy_5kxF3Ew/s3679/cccjan24%20cu2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3679" data-original-width="2759" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-BpdCNgldLkYXMQfOsWsU9ZpElVdW5-9c1xiPb8l2_npTfoYcIVo04AsL8zs571pVn9qR6eaYe4ynQec7NZVQtdr927i0k-D9BSfR_vQgIFJSV-Qp_zVKu9e9gg_Zx7m6t8a4-ZJAaUilvwVmb7CazvtGZpRrIYtvlukkbfRX7BKFCOagTy_5kxF3Ew/w300-h400/cccjan24%20cu2.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: arial;">Thanks so much for visiting, and I hope you will take some time to join us and build up your store of holiday cards!</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;">Take care!</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;">Stef</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><i>Stamps and Dies: CCC Dear Santa</i></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><i>Paper: Neenah Solar White, Distress Watercolor</i></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><i>Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Versafine Clair Nocturne</i></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><i>Other: Shiny Bauble Distress Mica Spray, Stardust Stickles</i></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><i>Copics: R59, 46, 27, 05, YR27, 24, 23, 21, C5, 3, 1, 00, W3, 1, 0, E27, 25, 23, 21, G09, 02, BG07, 45, 53, 01, 000</i></span></div></div>Stef Perryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17777117548984288021noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-885092930078757742.post-31342802365569446092024-01-18T00:00:00.024-07:002024-01-18T15:24:35.329-07:00My Favorite Human Bean for Just Us Girls<div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial;">Hello friends! I laid the coffee cups on a sticky mat, then colored them with Copic markers. Two additional dies were cut for each cup and they were layered up before adhering to card front around the sentiment. The last thing was to add a heart. I have some clay hearts from Trinity Stamps but the color was a little too tomato-y, so I just used a dark red Copic marker to change the color and after adhering it to the cup, I covered it with Glossy Accents for some shine. I was tickled pink by how this card turned out because I've never used this bundle before although I think I bought it over a year ago. But if we are bundled up in the house, we might as well craft, right? </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial;">And, just in case you need some crafty inspiration, today is the start of a new Color Hues Challenge and the lovely Karen has chosen a beautiful combo of green and copper. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2m-z77XPIfJ1jhs2qLMZneYYtRi0Ncq9AjcvlTc33cf4D97kTUI6e7M3degIsjjvQM6rbngjGC4hn4ZlIH4XT6cKVwCNc9uCFFYl6RpbkW4jWOhiibPK3O76Rl9c1gLcgVE5xnzDxL3SaF5GjUVs60C-ytP0U5OrtnG3_WGyvQ_JX0mhxzFoqM0Kw6Q/s400/CH%20%2379%20Copper%20and%20Green.001.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="400" data-original-width="326" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2m-z77XPIfJ1jhs2qLMZneYYtRi0Ncq9AjcvlTc33cf4D97kTUI6e7M3degIsjjvQM6rbngjGC4hn4ZlIH4XT6cKVwCNc9uCFFYl6RpbkW4jWOhiibPK3O76Rl9c1gLcgVE5xnzDxL3SaF5GjUVs60C-ytP0U5OrtnG3_WGyvQ_JX0mhxzFoqM0Kw6Q/w163-h200/CH%20%2379%20Copper%20and%20Green.001.jpeg" width="163" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://colorhuesthecolorchallenge.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Color Hues</a><br /></div> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial;">I love these colors together and decided to use them for an addition to my depleted birthday card stash.</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3mU2Vio-fCk873av8bfz07ROs4Np_92JCOgP9pPhm90Guqj4OcPTo4JsSVHjY8So26Zt6Et51UBekqTCD-cyo-ti3fQlN9Alo6A2Ux5WCv59X_XP14stOwbaV-hFe5bUYvshJ_N19mIGLMtcf_2MVpveJF9epbwLYfdTh-eL_CYC0MfMc8fJ2G9zBkw/s3679/ch79.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3679" data-original-width="2759" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3mU2Vio-fCk873av8bfz07ROs4Np_92JCOgP9pPhm90Guqj4OcPTo4JsSVHjY8So26Zt6Et51UBekqTCD-cyo-ti3fQlN9Alo6A2Ux5WCv59X_XP14stOwbaV-hFe5bUYvshJ_N19mIGLMtcf_2MVpveJF9epbwLYfdTh-eL_CYC0MfMc8fJ2G9zBkw/w300-h400/ch79.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: arial;">I combined some older and newer dies, all from Simon Says Stamp. I started with the background, using the Pincushion Plate with a panel of dark green cardstock. It adds a lovely bit of embossed detail along with cutting all the tiny holes, which you can see more clearly in the photos below. I was tempted to back it with a copper metallic panel but it looked too dark, so instead it was adhered directly to a white card base.</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWWK5ojPIqIn8hfY8clRfUV9Mh8LIY40wafttK4yIKiQlLpGbJwIbuqM0ifC92iZdinozik3JSH041khsjr8eQpULqMcnfYhUg8l-607yN_gz5Qwc9SJt7wA_rEb9hrvIxL-Z3LFWi-YVFGNJjrUH70kWPvC0XoX9whPzAriNk7kX5KUrE-msm5PiKXw/s3745/ch79%20cu1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3745" data-original-width="3066" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWWK5ojPIqIn8hfY8clRfUV9Mh8LIY40wafttK4yIKiQlLpGbJwIbuqM0ifC92iZdinozik3JSH041khsjr8eQpULqMcnfYhUg8l-607yN_gz5Qwc9SJt7wA_rEb9hrvIxL-Z3LFWi-YVFGNJjrUH70kWPvC0XoX9whPzAriNk7kX5KUrE-msm5PiKXw/w328-h400/ch79%20cu1.jpg" width="328" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: arial;">The sentiment and the berries were both cut from that copper metallic paper and then I used a lighter green for the swag, topping that with some white flowers. The sentiment was added to the vellum shadow die before adhering to the card front, then I added the swag. Lastly I used some beautiful gem stickers that have that same coppery hue and they really sparkle in the light. Such an easy-peasy card to pull together, I think I need to make a few more birthday cards like this to have on hand.</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-diZ7xDirYjedt9kXatmKScdlpS6Xkg-5LOGWOIwszf1DiMGP6y21sqvI9qUZ92qQRbe5fjrEXM_MmHjBOT76aPi9hYvIWocgBCtfHybTjx2M8fGkOJqmWNgujtN1C0aWOlGdvd-hTarrkGd19Gm1MDYKZg5VZ9jgaJZW2cRihdxvof38NGYmqoORPg/s3754/ch79%20cu2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3754" data-original-width="2977" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-diZ7xDirYjedt9kXatmKScdlpS6Xkg-5LOGWOIwszf1DiMGP6y21sqvI9qUZ92qQRbe5fjrEXM_MmHjBOT76aPi9hYvIWocgBCtfHybTjx2M8fGkOJqmWNgujtN1C0aWOlGdvd-hTarrkGd19Gm1MDYKZg5VZ9jgaJZW2cRihdxvof38NGYmqoORPg/w318-h400/ch79%20cu2.jpg" width="318" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: arial;">I hope my card has provided a bit of inspiration and for even more, you must go take a look at what the rest of the amazingly talented design team created with these colors! I hope things are going smoothly for you and that you're able to have time to enjoy the season. I actually finished my Christmas cards earlier this year than the prior 2-3 and got the house decorated on December 1st, so I've been feeling a little ahead of the game.</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial;">But that's probably not why you've dropped by my blog, so let's get to it! On an A7 panel, I ink blended Simon Says Stamp Galaxy for the sky, then added a panel of snowy hills that I hand cut from a panel of white. Before adhering to the panel, I used a light blue ink both on the base of the piece and at the top of the hills, then glued it down. The trees were die cut from dark green cardstock, then I used a dark brown Copic marker to color the trunks before adding to the background. Next, the sentiment was white heat embossed, then the critters were adhered either with glue or foam tape.
